I have attempted some questions from the 2008 paper. Any comments would be welcome.

The first question is one that we did at GM Rail in 2009 and hence I am able to attach
a) one of the attempts that we received at that event and
b) a "master answer" that I created as a means of getting a scoring system. I do not suggest that the examiners mark so mechanicalistically, but I find it instructive to determine the sort of things that I feel ought to be included and then work how these would contribute to gaining the marks available. Obviously if the candidate has included something not listed but which is equally valid then they would get marks accordingly. Hence it isn't a tick-in-the-box score card, but it does give a reference against which to assess. You may therefore like to use it to get a feeling of how many marks would be awarded to your attempt and indeed the other alternative response I have posted.

I need to get on to the various recent module 3 submissions; hopefully someone else will comment upon your second answer but otherwise I'll attempt to return to it in a few days.
