General Query - SWer - 20-11-2009 Hi Chaps, Does anyone know the aurigin of 'HW' as in the points used in the UK and I would assume elsewhere in the world. There are several theories, the most likely being that it was GECs way of identifying the machine. There was an HE machine in the past and I propose that the 'H' identified the series and the 'W' was for points? Another theory was that it stands for Henry Williams. I have some old documentation from the 70's but there is no information within the text. Thanks in advance |
